Studies show Green Lipped Mussel (GLM), when it's the full-spectrum, non-defatted variety like ours, is a natural source of fatty acids and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) that support healthy joint function.

GLM's unique fatty acid profile (EPA, DHA, and rare ETA) supports the body's healthy inflammatory response, while its GAGs contribute to synovial fluid viscosity and cartilage health.

In clinical research, GLM has been shown to support joint comfort and mobility, with results that compare favorably to traditional glucosamine and chondroitin.

Eggshell Membrane (ESM) is the thin, nutrient-dense membrane between a chicken eggshell and yolk (not ground-up eggshells).

ESM naturally contains the building blocks of healthy cartilage, including Collagen (Types I, V, and X), Elastin, Hyaluronic Acid, Chondroitin Sulfate, and Glucosamine.

These building blocks support healthy cartilage and contribute to synovial fluid viscosity.

Studies show ESM is an early-acting ingredient that maintains its support over time.

Boswellia Serrata is an extract from Boswellia tree resin, grown in India and the Middle East.

For our formula, it's processed so that at least 65% of the active boswellic acids are retained.

The most-studied of these compounds is AKBA (acetyl-11-keto-β-boswellic acid), which interacts with the body's natural enzymatic pathways involved in maintaining a healthy inflammatory response.

This mechanism is structurally different from how GLM (fatty-acid-based) or ESM (cartilage building blocks) work, which is why Boswellia earns a distinct spot in our formula.

UC-II® Undenatured Type II Collagen is a unique ingredient that works with the immune system rather than providing structural building blocks.

Unlike regular collagen, which is "denatured" (broken down) into simple nutrients, UC-II® is undenatured. This means it retains its triple-helix shape, allowing it to work through a process called "oral tolerance" — interacting with immune-recognition cells in the gut to send calming, balancing signals to joint tissue.

In clinical research, this patented form of collagen has been shown to outperform standard glucosamine and chondroitin across measures of mobility, joint comfort, and physical activity.

Dog mobility supplements come in two classes.

Class 1: Cheap/generic supplements

Young dogs under four months old (puppies) don't need our hip & joint powder.

For any other dog already showing noticeable hip and joint issues — whether from age or an active lifestyle — it's a great fit.
